• Next to the Five-Storied Pagoda of Rurikoji Temple, there is Toshunji Temple. It is Motonari Mori's family temple. The guide of the Yamaguchi city office is recorded as follows.

• The Gateway to Toshunji Temple (important cultural asset): Toshunji was Motonari Mori's family temple. There was a temple that Morimi Ouchi had built in 1404 as a prayer place of a peaceful whole country and the home prosperity in this ground. After Mr. Mori had moved to Bocho area, it became the family temple of Takamoto Mori and it is called Toshunji Temple. Current main temple of Toshunji was burnt down in Edo period and rebuilt. But current gateway to the temple seems to be the original one. A structural technique shows the trait at a Zen style gate especially without any sculpture though some of materials are seen after Edo period.

• Goddess of Mercy Hall in Toshunji Temple (important cultural asset): This Goddess of Mercy Hall was in Kanonji Temple in the Kamiunoreitaki. After Mochimori, son of Yoshihiro Ouchi, was killed in Buzen country Shinozaki, it was made as a family temple. After it changed, and it became Mr. Mori's age in addition, Kanonji Temple was called Daitsuin. Kanonji Temple was moved to the Toshunji in 1915 though it was remarkable decay.
  It is written in the board signature of the back of the feretory that the temple was built in 1430.
  There is something that should be seen in the decorative carving etc. of the detail though an internal structure is easy. The floor is a diamond paving tile of the Zen style.

The right side of the main temple is an entrance.	The folding screen seems to be historical.	The main temple was rebuilt in Edo period.	There is only Motonari's family temple.
Main temple is larger than Rurikoji Temple.	Goddess of Mercy Hall by the main temple.	The building of 1430 construction remains.	The plinth in the goddess of mercy back turns over the rock.
Xavier Memorial Cathedral was built in 1952 to praise the achievement of Fransisco Xavier but burnt down in 1991. Present cathedral was completed in 1998.
